V.A. Hystereofônica Vol.2 (Tropical Twista Records)

No segundo ano da compilação Hystereofônica, “resistência” é a palavra que ecoa quando o tempo vem amadurecer a luta e aprimorar a obra. 2017 é o ano do falecimento de uma das figuras mais mitológicas da cultura brasileira, Zabé da Loca, pifeira desde seus 10 anos de idade que apenas foi reconhecida como revelação da música brasileira aos 85. Mas reconhecida por quem?

Falar sobre continuidade e expansão da rede feminina na música é falar sobre resistência, não apenas no cenário brasileiro como no mundo. Após um ano de reverberações da primeira compilação, de inúmeros apoios e conexões com iniciativas semelhantes em diversos países, começamos a escavar nossa história em rochas sólidas, a exemplo dos ancestrais e mirando o porvir.

Neste volume dois, Hystereofônica conta com a participação de 15 mulheres, entre cis e trans, novas e consagradas, cantoras, compositoras, artistas visuais e master, de cá e de outras terras, enredadas neste segundo capítulo por Ágatha Barbosa (Cigarra) para a Tropical Twista Records. As faixas que vão desde o experimentalismo livre ao pulso sintético do techno passando por uma variedade rítmica que tem por recorte o gênero feminino e o intuito de dar visibilidade a uma metade do planeta que vive sob a sombra histórica. In the second year of the Hystereofônica compilation, “resistance” is the word that echoes when the time comes to mature the fight and improve the work. 2017 is the year of the death of one of the most mythical persons from the Brazilian culture, Zabé da Loca, fifer since she was 10 years old. She was only recognized as a revelation in the Brazilian music at the age of 85. But recognized by who?

Talking about continuity and expansion of the feminine network is talking about resistance; not just in the brazilian scenario but in the whole world. After one year of the reverberations since the first compilation, countless support and connections with other similar initiatives in several countries, we begin to dig out our history from solid rock, with the ancestral examples and looking towards the future.

In this second volume, Hystereofônica has fifteen women participating: cis and trans, singers and composers, visual artists and masters, new and consecrated, from here and other lands, entangled in this second chapter by Ágatha Barbosa (CIgarra) for the Tropical Twista Records. The tracks are from the free experimentalism to the synthetic techno, passing by a rhythmic variety made only by the feminine gender with the intent of giving visibility to half of the planet that lives in the shadow of the history.
