Raised at the Marne river’s edge, Alohn was infected by natural textures, noises and sounds from his earliest ages. After having started music by learning guitar, he shifted to electronic compositions without losing this acoustico-organic approach. From the hebraic liturgy of his childhood to psyché-rock, jazz, electronica and ambient, his influences are constantly expanding.

Translated from the cabalistic concept of « Chevirat Hakelim », « La brisure des vases » is an attempt to question the complexity of the idea of creation that, according to Isaac Luria - a jewish mystic from the 16th century - is, at the same time, about the pure existence of an infinitely singular being (en sof) and the various forms (emanation) that, assembled, makes it diverse. But more surprisingly, he also considered creation as a negative movement. If god is infinite, he believed, then he must retract himself to let the world exist.

Guided by the intuition that Luria’s theory perfectly embodies what happens during the artistic activity, TzimTzum tried to give birth to a debut EP that could be simultaneously a reflection of his intimate feelings as well as an autonomous, almost impersonal piece of music composed of both earth-grounded and abstract musical materials.
